General AssistanceFor general assistance, please refer to this website or to the informational binder which reproduces all of this information in paper form. These resources should answer any basic questions about how equipment within the room works and how best to utilize this technology in your teaching. There are three copies of the informational binder. One each in the Media Classroom media cart, in the Transcriptions Laboratory bookshelf, and with Janet at the front desk of the English department. If you have questions that are not answered by this website or the informational binders, please redirect your questions to the Transcriptions RAs or bring immediate issues to the attention of Brian Reynolds, the English Department's Computer Systems specialist. |

To Schedule the Media ClassroomIf you would like to teach your class in South Hall 1415, the Media Classroom, you need to contact Susan Gosling in the English Department Office at least a full quarter in advance of your course (ex. for a Spring quarter course you should place your request no later than the last week of Fall quarter).

Network Issues or Immediate Attention to ProblemsIf you experience network issues while working in the Media Classroom, or have any problems with the equipment that needs to be immediately addressed, you should contact Brian Reynolds, the English Department's Computer Systems Specialist. Brian

Further Training and AssistanceIf you would like further training in how to use the equipment in the Media Classroom or need assistance in developing your pedagogical use of technology, please contact the Transcriptions RAs. They should be able to give you suggestions on how to integrate technology into your teaching, both in the Media Classroom and beyond, with tools like Dreamweaver, Course Builder, Sound Forge and more.
