The Power of Propaganda: Timeline

[This is the page that introduces the user to the topic timeline. The main timeline will consist of material that you enter in the Transcription project's Filemaker Pro database through its Web interface, a special version of which has been set up for this topic here. Once you have entered your material, the database will automatically create Web-viewable chronologies based on search criteria entered by the user (or pre-set searches you provide). In addition to sending the user to the database, however, you can use the present page to present a selective timeline. The following is a sample outline of the content that might be put on this page introducing your timeline, though you can be more creative and artistic. You might begin, for example, with a quote about the time in which your topic is set.

1. Highlights from the timeline, perhaps intermixed with quotations or pictures or links to works.

2. A variant of the following paragraph:

"Go to the full timeline database for this project, which allows for interactive browsing and searching and is paired with a related database of annotated links to online resources."]
