Virtual Capitalism: Critical Issues

Cyberspace is used by millions of people everyday in a variety of ways. One of its pathways has been the Internet which in turn, has provided the world with new and faster technology. It has also created new jobs and corporations, which can only exist via Internet. An example of one of these corporations is E-Bay. E-Bay was first made to link buyers and sellers. Now, E-Bay is a multimillion-dollar corporation that transports goods worldwide.

How many different ways has E-Bay impacted the world, and how will the information it provides change the future?

Cyberspace -- the absence of government -- will eventually spawn another form of control yet to be experienced. Sure we may witness the fall of the corporation, but what other monstrous entity will rise from its demise. Who will be in power in place of the corporation? Or perhaps it is more appropriate to ask what will have the power in the future as we move our existence into another time . . . and space.
