Elements of your web-site

  1. Home page: index.html: includes a collaboratively written introduction/ overview and links to...
  2. Short papers (author signed): these papers develop contexts and texts for studying cyborg culture: lead question: how do these texts and contexts allow us to interpret the cyborg in culture?
  3. Link base (author signed): with links active [that is, if you click on them, you can go to the site]
  4. Time line for topic (signed by one or more)
  5. Critical issues and a long paragraph discussion of each issue (signed)
  6. Images appropriate to your topic (see below)
  7. Text and/or Context page: individual pages contributed to your site providing an overview, images, and links: this will be the beginning or kernel that will grow into your individual final essays.
  8. Final papers (signed): independently written paper coming out of your web page, and added to it. It must include a list of books, articles and web-sites consulted.

How to capture an image for your page

  1. Right-click (on a PC) and the image can be saved as a file with the extender .jpg or a .gif
  2. Save to your disk a: (or c:, d:, …etc) in the folder "\yoursite" within which you create a folder called "\images"
  3. Then insert or import the image into your web page (from the folder "\yoursite\images")
  4. When you upload to the server (FTP=file transfer protocal), so it is on the web, you must remember to copy the whole "\images" file up as well (so the new images are available online)
