4 Dimensions of tribalism
:

  1. Spatial (land as fundamental to tribal identity)
  2. Social (tribalism concerned with distinctive identity and sovereignty of groups)
  3. Spiritual (tribalism depends on moral and ethical standards, differential access to power and proprietary knowledge)
  4. Experiential (tribalism is practiced, lived, full-sensory experience)


Global Village of Cyberspace
:

  1. Locating identity in particular geographical space is impossible
  2. Collection of anonymous individuals without long-term shared histories
  3. Condones equal and immediate access to all information (treated as secular)
  4. Only allows for digital audio and visual interactions
