Assessment

The instructor will assess the level of student technological equipment and skills through a course entrance survey. Students will assess the technological side of the course and its integration with course content through an exit survey. Standard university Scantron forms will be used for student evaluation of the course as a whole. The grading policy is as follows:

Grading Policy

Attendance and class participation (20%). You are allowed three unexcused absences. After the third absence your course grade will decline by 1/3 of a letter grade for each subsequent absence.

Group project and oral presentation (20%).

Two papers (60%). Late papers will be downgraded 1/3 of a letter grade for each day late. I assume that all work turned in bearing your name will be your work. Quotations and ideas taken from other sources need to be fully acknowledged; otherwise, you are liable to the charge of plagiarism, which may result in punishments ranging from a failing grade for the paper and course to probation and expulsion from the university.
