Weaving Webs:
Native American Literature, Oral Tradition, and Internet

The web has been used as a metaphor to describe the interwoven narratives of Native American literature, the dialogic storytelling of the oral tradition, and the hyperlinked nodes of the Internet. This figure will serve as the starting point for our examination of both the illuminating connections and the necessary disjunctions between these three distinct modes of expression and communication.
